About me..

A serene landscape featuring a calm lake surrounded by mountains under a clear blue sky.

About Me..

I am a registered social worker (MSW) specializing in trauma and helping individuals uncover and heal the roots of their struggles. Life can throw so many challenges our way, and sometimes, the deepest pain is rooted in experiences we haven't fully processed.

My approach is about going beyond the surface to help you reconnect with yourself, understand your emotions, and transform your relationship with both past and present experiences. I consider myself an integrative therapist, pulling from CBT, DBT, Emotion-focused therapy, IFS, and EMDR.

I believe that healing comes from understanding and addressing the root causes of our pain, not just managing symptoms. Together, we can work through the layers of your experiences, reconnect with your true self, and create lasting change that empowers you to live a more fulfilling and balanced life.

Services offered

Individual Psychotherapy & Counselling

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy

Individual Psychotherapy & Counselling

We all develop ways of protecting ourselves. Maybe you overthink, avoid conflict, push people away, people-please, strive for perfection, or struggle to quiet the constant feeling that you're not enough. These patterns aren't flaws—they're adaptations that once helped you cope.

Together, we'll explore the experiences that shaped these protective strategies and the deeper needs that have been waiting beneath them. Using an individualized approach informed by evidence-based therapies, we'll work to heal old wounds, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and create lasting change.

Therapy isn't about becoming someone different. It's about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that learned they had to hide, fight, please, or protect in order to feel safe. As those parts begin to heal, greater confidence, emotional freedom, and more fulfilling relationships naturally follow.

Couples Counselling

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy

Individual Psychotherapy & Counselling

At the heart of every relationship are two people carrying unique stories, attachment needs, and protective patterns shaped long before they met. When conflict becomes repetitive or disconnection grows, it's often these deeper, vulnerable parts—not the surface issue—that are speaking.

Using an attachment-focused lens, we slow down the cycle that keeps you stuck and begin to understand what each partner is truly longing for beneath anger, withdrawal, criticism, or defensiveness. As empathy grows, emotional safety can be rebuilt, allowing trust, intimacy, and connection to deepen.

Rather than teaching you how to argue less, our work focuses on helping you understand one another more deeply, heal old attachment wounds, and create a relationship where both partners feel seen, valued, and emotionally secure.

Many people understand why they feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck, but continue to experience the same emotional reactions, relationship patterns, or distressing memories. EMDR is an evidence-based psychotherapy approach that helps the brain process experiences that may not have been fully resolved, allowing them to become part of your story without continuing to feel overwhelming.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR doesn't require you to repeatedly tell your story in detail. Instead, we work together to help your brain process distressing memories and triggers in a safe, structured way so they no longer have the same emotional intensity or continue to influence your present.

EMDR has been extensively researched and is recognized as an effective treatment for trauma and PTSD. It is also commonly used to help individuals experiencing anxiety, panic, phobias, grief, negative self-beliefs, relationship difficulties, and other concerns rooted in difficult life experiences.

My approach to EMDR is always individualized. Before beginning trauma processing, we spend time building trust, developing coping strategies that support emotional regulation, and ensuring you feel prepared. Healing isn't about rushing into painful memories—it's about creating enough safety and stability that meaningful change can happen.
